Scared by a lightning, wind, and rainstorm which passed through Egg Harbor Township, NJ, this past weekend, Dillinger, a police K9 from the Atlantic County Sheriff's Department, got out of his kennel Sunday morning.

Dillinger is a highly trained 2-year-old Belgian Malinois handled by Sheriff's Officer Ron DeMoulin.  He is brown in color with a black nose.

The police are asking for help in finding Dillinger.  The police caution that Dillinger was "probably traumatized during the storm" and advise, "don't try to handle him yourself.  Call the Atlantic County Sheriff's department at 609-909-7200."

Thank you for any  help you can be in this situation.  At last count over 4 dozen people were out looking for him. 

The sense here is that someone found him and doesn't realize it's Dillinger.
