Dr. Liz - I've heard from my cousin, at the Illinois campus where the students were shot. They had a memorial service the other day, one of many. But at this particular service, the President of the University said to them to be silent while the bells were tolling. The entire student body fell silent, listening to the bells and the silence between the bells. And then it started to snow. It was an amazing miracle of Grace from Creator. Very healing.

Dr. Liz - Mary, it is the nature of nature, to sing praises to Creator. I believe our subconscious minds can still hear the songs, even though most human conscious minds can no longer hear them. I believe that is why it is so healing to be in nature, because our souls are hearing the songs of praise and thanksgiving.

Dr. Liz - All, Houdinni died in December. Houdinni was a cat much beloved by Hector/Gonzalo and his sister Isabel and their family. The family tried valiantly to save Houdinni, but 3 vets were unable to do so. Sadly, Houdinni suffered and died. He is remembered with great love. We pray for Houdinni's soul, and for his family who mourns his suffering and his loss.

Dr. Liz - It comes to me to start the topic now. It's an exciting topic and very life-changing, once we understand it.
Dr. Liz - The topic is placebos and nocebos and their place in mental health. Really, the topic is about spiritual healing, meaning, our beliefs that we can heal our bodies and our lives.

Dr. Liz - If we believe in something, it can happen .... however, there are influences, including the "field" of belief that we live in.
Dr. Liz - For example, if we believe that we can't make a living at something, we probably won't be able to.
Marge - btw, I really enjoyed your last chat on Forgiveness ... read the transcript.
Dr. Liz - Henry Ford once said, "If we believe we can do it, or don't believe we can do it, either way, we're right."

Dr. Liz - GG, I've struggled, too. I've learned something important, worded a little differently than I might have worded it before.
Dr. Liz - I've known for a long time that the company we keep is very important. It is important because a FIELD of belief is created by the COMPANY we keep. We can have a belief, or want to change a belief, but if we're in a FIELD of belief that doesn't SUPPORT the new belief, it's going to be VERY difficult.
Mary A - Our minds are the builders...so many things have manifested in my life because of "thoughts"

Marge - I've found a long time ago, that it's usually best not to share the belief with others, unless you are absolutely sure they are supportive
Mary A - Every day I say affirmations for perfect health and happiness!
GirlyGirls - It has allowed me to move forward in new ways, and I was wondering if it was because I remove those energies from my life!
Dr. Liz - As an example: When I was teaching the Out of Africa advanced animal communication class some years ago, I needed to drive to the airport in Phoenix VERY quickly. We had about 20 minutes to do a 45 minute drive. Marge was driving me ... I have a strong belief that time can be manipulated to be subject to human intention ... and since Marge was open to it, we did a 45 minute trip in 20 minutes without speeding. Impossible? No, not in the belief system we were in.
Cheryl &PJ & Champ - We have to remind our selves to be strong, supporting beliefs that we trust and believe in even if the group doesn't agree

Dr. Liz - How this is relevant to tonight's topic is as follows: a placebo, we all know, is a thought, a positive thought, or an item representing a positive thought, that can create healing.

Mary A - I have a very strong support system around me with my angel network... with family,, it's a little different
Dr. Liz - However, just as important, and possibly even more important, is a nocebo ... A nocebo is a negative belief that can make you sick and even kill you.

Cheryl &PJ & Champ - I have recently asked for.manifested things which seem outside of possibility, only to recognize that y pure and honest intentions, with harm to none ore often honored...including close parking spaces! to name something simple
Dr. Liz - Both are equally powerful ... placebos and nocebos. Both will impact your biology immediately as you feel them.
Dee&Henry&Jake - something comes to mind about healing that came up in a chat with either SUVE or Zoe years ago...they attributed their healing to "being in a place of all possibilities"...they were surrounding by the beliefs that healing was possible & would occur
GirlyGirls - Sometimes, Liz, I want to have my brain washed out, like a high colonic gets rid of old "stuff", and be able to let the new diet of thoughts take over with mental/spiritual health and healing.
Marge - yes Cheryl, I Love the 'parking spaces' ... they're always there for me!
Mary A - Unfortunately,I see that philosophy around me too much. I try to be careful what I put out there
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, many people start out asking for green traffic lights and good parking places. They're simple requests which are relatively easy to accomplish.

Dr. Liz - As an animal communicator, I have had a large number of animals ask me to help their humans create the belief in their ability to heal. I have also had a large number of animals ask me to have their human find a different vet who believes that they can heal, instead of that they cannot heal.

Mary A - I always get close parking spaces,,, I joke I have a patron saint of parking spaces!
Dr. Liz - The animals are deeply influenced by our beliefs about their abilities to heal.
Dee&Henry&Jake - Dr Liz- that exact "mindset" did wonders in this household for our babies

Dr. Liz - The power of thought is very important, possibly even all important. However, thoughts are not isolated, they live in fields. If the field is one of all possibility, then the strongest, clearest thought wins.
Cheryl &PJ & Champ - that is why, although unconventional in mannerisms, I have such belief in my holistic vet--he cred tumors in my rats and helped other animals of mine that conventional vets "gave up on"
Marge - Liz ... I would hope that all of the people would honor their animals wishes ... i.e. switching vets or whatever.
Dr. Liz - If you feel you are powerless, a victim, then you are. If you feel you live in a world of all possibilities, this, too, will be true for you.
Dr. Liz - Marge, they don't always. But most do.
Mary A - It truly is so important to be positive with our emotions with our pets
Dee&Henry&Jake - i believe the only reason Zoe survived her cancer years ago was b/c we "found" you Dr Liz, and you gave us the mindset that she could heal

Dr. Liz - There's more. As a student of spiritual healers, I have studied the life of the healing Masters, including Jesus Christ.
Dr. Liz - Christ never healed anyone in his own home town. It was because the field there didn't support a belief in his ability to heal people. Interesting, isn't it?

Dr. Liz - I now understand he did this because of the FIELD. If someone who receives a healing, speaks of it to another, they diminish the field, unless there is 100% resonance in the possibility of spiritual healing.
Cheryl &PJ & Champ - And I experience heightened abilities when I'm around people "open" to siritual experiences
Dee&Henry&Jake - I guess so no one would hear their "story" and talk them out of the healing they received
Dr. Liz - And then they can lose their belief in the healing, which then becomes a nocebo.

Marge - Dee.. I would imagine even if they didn't talk them out of it, ... even if their energy and their thoughts didn't resonate with this, it could diminish the field?
Dr. Liz - So either way, we're right. If we believe we can heal, we're right. If we believe we can't, we're right. If we waffle back and forth, we're right again, and we'll experience healing and then setbacks and then healing and then setbacks.

Dr. Liz - This works whether we're speaking of our biologies, or our life experiences.

Dr. Liz - If we believe we can have and deserve abundance, we're right. If we doubt it, we're right. If we waffle, we're right again.

Dr. Liz - GG, I am learning another whole way of being in that regard. It just started for me about two weeks ago. It is to live from the declarations I made in the front of my mind. I took a Werner Erhardt seminar many years ago, he said this, too ... live from your declarations. But I only recently understood how to do it. I have yet to do it consistently, but I know what it feels like now, to do it.
GirlyGirls - It's not about giving in, Mary A, but even hearing something negative sets up a visceral reaction in me, and I'm often feeling hurt that they would think negatively about something I am enthusiastic about. How to shield.?

Dr. Liz - As a Classics major and a religious scholar, I find it interesting that we are now returning to what was well known 2000 years ago ... that thoughts are things, and that we can change our lives with our beliefs. Even Christ said it ... change your beliefs and you change your life. :)
