Dr. Liz - Jane, Hello, yes, I've heard the weather reports from LA.
jane - Dr. Liz - what do you mean - no one has died in the last 5 days - did anyone else die in your family?
Dr. Liz - Jane, May 5th, my son-in-law died. We buried him May 9th. May 11th the father of a dear friend died. May 15th, the mother of another dear friend died.
Dr. Liz - On Memorial Day, my former life-partner and former ballroom dance partner,Marty, well, his father died.
Dr. Liz - June 1st my spiritual director since 1995 died.
Dr. Liz - And June 2nd, a man who played a character in a TV show that was extremely formative for me decades ago, died.
Dr. Liz - So altogether, it's 6 deaths since May 5th.
jane - Good grief - I am so sorry - that is a lot of loss in such a short period of time.
Dr. Liz - Plus, my daughter was hospitalized twice, having collapsed twice from grief and stress resulting from Steven's sudden death.
Dr. Liz - Today, I am totally okay.
jane - How is your daugter and her children doing?
Dee & "kids" - Wow, Dr Liz, it shows how much strength you have
Dee & "kids" - How is your daughter?
Dr. Liz - Jane, they're doing much better, although of course still processing.
Cheryl & Kids - Wow...Dr. Liz I can relate with what is going on in my life as I have had to disconnect from my friend who was very ill and suffered amputation due to that illness
Dr. Liz - Nicole (daughter) asked me to officiate at Steven's funeral. I wrote the service, and officiated it. It was a truly Guided experience. Steven's essence energy was there, at the funeral, both I and my elder grandson Anthony, saw him clearly.
jane - I think that everyone is on "tilt" right now in their life - it seems like ya'll have discussed something like this before here and I missed it.
Dr. Liz - Yes, there has been loss. There have also been extraordinary touches of Grace and Light.
Dr. Liz - We seem to be receiving the opportunity to elevate and detach.
Dr. Liz - Not disconnect, but detach. There's a difference.
Cheryl & Kids - yes...detach feels like the correct energy

jane - What is the difference?
Dr. Liz - There have been many things that have unfolded for me in the past month.
Dr. Liz - One is, I have understood some things VERY important to me, in an entirely new light.
Dr. Liz - Although our topic tonight is pre-destination vs. self-created reality, another thing to share arises first.
Dee & "kids" - please share....
kikfrd - To me, detached means you observe without emotional attachment. To disconnect... would almost be to ignore it... (maybe?)
Dr. Liz - I have long contemplated the concepts of "telling the truth" and "telling a lie." We could call them "truthing" and "lying", just for here, tonight.
Dr. Liz - Kikfrd, pretty much, yes. Detach has awareness without isolation. Disconnect infers isolation or insulation.
Dr. Liz - And I've always wondered why I always seemed to "have trouble" when someone was lying to me.
kikfrd - ohh Dr. liz has my attention now
Dr. Liz - Especially when the person was close to me, I often found myself unable to truly discern or to respond appropriately to, statements that were lies.
Dr. Liz - Sometimes I would "ostrich", meaning, I wouldn't pursue validating or falsifying the statements, or the situations or people, about whom the statements were being made.
Dr. Liz - And then sometimes, I would.
Dee & "kids" - accept rather than challenge...
Dr. Liz - Interestingly, I've always been able to tell when an animal is telling the truth, mostly because most animals ALWAYS tell the truth.
Dr. Liz - Also, animals don't use human, spoken language.
Dr. Liz - Dee, yes.
jane - Boy, does that ever make sense, Dr. Liz! This is a difficult thing to deal with - when you know someone is lying to you - and often for no really valid reason.
Dr. Liz - So when the TV program, "Lie to Me", was brought to my attention, I watched it with extraordinary attention.
Dr. Liz - I truly don't care about the plots of "Lie to Me" ... I care about the discussions of the ways of discerning when someone is lying and when s/he is truthing.
jane - If "Lie to Me" is the show I think it is, it was very painful for me to watch - I could not watch it. People hurt each other too much.
Dr. Liz - On the program, which is based on a real life investigator into truthing and lying, the emphasis is on microexpressions and body language.
Dee & "kids" - I saw the show
Dr. Liz - There's also some emphasis on voice levels.
Dr. Liz - On the show, the main "investigators" declare "this person is lying" or "this person is telling the truth."
jane - Was this the show where people were hooked up to a lie detector and asked questions?
Dr. Liz - I however had an "Ah, hah!' moment about two weeks ago.
Dr. Liz - Jane, no.
Dr. Liz - Jane, perhaps I am to answer differently. In the shows I've seen, they've simply been video'd and interviewed.
kikfrd - Jane, that's a different show. And that is the show that made me ban the fox network for awhile
Dr. Liz - The "Ah, hah!" moment I had was, In everything there is also its opposite. So NO statement is 100% true, nor is any statement 100% false. Every truth has in it an element of falsehood, and every falsehood has in it an element of truth.
Dr. Liz - So the only thing that is totally TRUE, is what's SO, and that lies ABOVE the "story" of what's SO.
Dr. Liz - The "story" of what's SO, depends on the viewpoint.
Dr. Liz - It's amazing how easy it becomes to discern primary truth and falsehood, after one realizes that we're looking for BOTH.
jane - So is what's SO what someone truly believes that it is from each person's different viewpoint?
Dr. Liz - In other words, if I ask, "Is this person telling the truth?", I'm asking the wrong question.
Dr. Liz - The true question to ask is, "What part of what this person is saying, is true?"
Dr. Liz - Interestingly, the answer always comes.
Dee & "kids" - maybe you could give an example...
Dr. Liz - I am coming to realize more fully, something I first recognized in 1995 ... and that is, it is the QUESTIONS that are powerful ... and it is understaind the QUESTIONS that is actually more important than getting the answers.
Dr. Liz - Very fun.

Dee & "kids" - ah..becker...yes I had a client who told me she couldn't pay her bill balance due to lack of product sales...I don't think she was being honest with me
Dr. Liz - A statement that occurs to me to do is, "Jesus Christ was the only Son of God."

Dr. Liz - What is the Truth in that statement? Anyone?
Dee & "kids" - I beleive all males are God's sons..(we are his daughters)
Dr. Liz - Okay, Dee. Let's do that one.
jane - Dr. Liz - is the TRUE INTENTION behind the question asked that is as important as the answer?
Dr. Liz - LOL I can see we'll do both!!! LOL
kikfrd - Jesus is the son of God
Dr. Liz - Dee, what part of what she said, that she "can't pay her balance because product sales are low" is false, and what part is true?
Dr. Liz - Kikrd, yes, part of what isn't true, is the verb tense "was" the Son of God. Jesus IS the Son of God.
Dr. Liz - However, Jesus is not the ONLY Son of God. So that part is untrue.
kikfrd - Client truth: she wasn't selling the product
Dee & "kids" - I cant be sure, I just felt that all along the design process she was difficult to work with, very demanding, and I know another designer she worked with along side me, had to fight her for his pay
Dr. Liz - So, Dee, what part of her statement, was true, and what part, was false?
Dee & "kids" - I know she was giving her product away for free....and telling me sales were low....of course sales are low when you give away freebies
Dr. Liz - I have come to believe it is the MIX of truth and falsehood, that "stops" some of us from acting correctly ... it almost "trances" us ... have you noticed? Often we say nothing.
Dr. Liz - Dee, so truth lay in "low product sales".
Dr. Liz - However, there probably wasn't truth in "I can't pay my balance".
Dr. Liz - What was true is, "I don't want to pay my balance and you'll have to fight me for it."

Dee & "kids" - i must clarify- our original agreement was not based on her desicion to give away product, she changed the terms of our original agreement...so she did not lie about why she didnt have $$, but I felt she was deceptive in her avoidiing my bill
Dee & "kids" - Yes...that seems true
jane - I had a situation with a next door neighbor many years ago - her friends decided that she needed a watchdog - they gave her a large dog that was totally neglected in her back yard (no shelter, etc.) - she was terrified of the dog - long story - I intervened for thedog - another long story - the dog disappeared - she told me that she had "found im a good home in the country." In her mind, she was not lying - I am now sure that her friendsdumped him off out in the country. That haunts me to this day - I was very naive back then and tended to hope for the best for this sweet dog.
Dr. Liz - Well, people who contract for things they're going to give away, still have to pay the subcontractors.
Dee & "kids" - Her product feel short of her expectations on the market, she solution was to increase sales, im guessing
Dr. Liz - Jane, that's another good example of the statement having both truth and falsehood in it. Was "country" involved? Yes, so that part of the sentence would ring true. Was the dog involved? Yes, so that part would, too. Was a home involved? Probably yes, but not a house or home for the dog.
Dr. Liz - So again it's mixed truth and falsehood.
jane - I think that it is important for people today (especially if they go to church regularly and are not supposed to "LIE" ) to "fudge" the truth so hat they have a clear conscious about lying. I have to say that I believe that honesty always pays off in a positiveway - but honestly, if you are dealing with animal abusers - they are on a different playing field that us.
Dr. Liz - Interestingly, our bodies always tell the truth.
Dr. Liz - Our mouths, our words, will do whatever they do. Our bodies always tell the truth (unless the person is a trained liar or on muscle relaxants or has had certain surgeries or Botox injections).
Cheryl & Kids - So, are what you are saying is to clearly identify the "untruth" of the statement and address that part??? Like give them a reprieve for a possible half truth amidst an untruth??
jane - Is that like POWER VERSUS FORCE by David Hawkins??
Dee & "kids" - how does that help you if you are not face to face (ex over the phone)?
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, I'm saying that because the combined mix of truth and falsehood usually brings us to a "halt", it trances a lot of us out, it is far more powerful to ask ourselves, "what part of what I'm being told is truth? what part of what I'm being told is falsehood?"
Dr. Liz - And then correct action is likely to arise.
Cheryl & Kids - So what we need to do is learn body language to more completely understand...then elevate above to address the "untruth in a composed manner?"
Cheryl & Kids - By addressing it, with a thought process taking charge before we "react"...we should assess and "act" to the situation at heand
Dr. Liz - For example, having "parsed" the client's sentence for truth and false hood, your answer could have been, "Yes, I understand product sales are low because you are giving the product away. I provided a service for you and my invoice is to be honored."
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, yes.
jane - Do the people who are lying KNOW that we KNOW that they are half lying? I have known people who are experts at lying - they are pros and have an answer for everything - it gets to where you do not even want to talk to them any longer.....
Dr. Liz - What's being offered here, is a level of empowerment into discernment of truth and falsehood. If we look for 100% truth, or 100% falsehood, we're not going to find it, because it doesn't exist.
Dee & "kids" - that makes sense
Dr. Liz - And if we're looking for it, when we get the "mix" of it, then it will render us less than capable in response; or even, incapable.
Dr. Liz - Does this make sense?
Dr. Liz - Jane, the experience here is, the people who are "best" at lying, get into the energy of passionately believing their lie, and therefore in the moment they're telling it, to them, it's truth.
jane - sort of like politicians??
Dee & "kids" - dso fully think about the answer you are given, and take all parts into concideration before coming to a final conclusion
Dr. Liz - A famous example might be a man who while romancing a woman, says to her passionately, "I love you." He truly feels it, believes it, in that moment. However, the woman hearing it, is likely to render unto that statement, a different meaning.
Dr. Liz - Dee, yes.
jane - Oh, yeah! The old
jane - the old I LOVE YOU rouse!!
Dr. Liz - Jane, politicians are used frequently as examples of different ways people lie, on the show, "Lie to Me."
Dr. Liz - Another great truth I realized in the past few weeks, has to do with our topic tonight, which is the age-old paradox of "everything is predestined" vs. it's seeming opposite, "we create our own reality."
Dr. Liz - What's true is, both are true; and both are false.
Dr. Liz - Each has in it, the element of it's opposite.
Dr. Liz - And when we feel the element of the opposite in each, we realize that the energy of the tension between the two, is the same energy.
jane - When does that "Lie to Me" show come on and what network? MAD MAGAZINE (back in the 60's) used to have a section called "What people say" and What people truly mean" I have never forgotten that - I always look "behind the scenes" for the hidden meaning of what people are saying.
Dee & "kids" - maybe things are predestined in a way- like the destination, but the journey there is up to you
Dr. Liz - Jane, it used to be Wednesdays at 8:00 in my area. I believe it's being moved to another time and day.
Dr. Liz - You could look it up on the web and find out for your area.
jane - OK - thanks.
Dr. Liz - The intent of true surrender, and the intent of co-creation, address the same Manifest energy.
Cheryl & Kids - And maybe even death...is an inevitable destined occurance, but our higher selves choose "when"
Dr. Liz - So they are actually addressing the same Source.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, yes, this past month has confirmed that for me. I first saw that clearly when I was a child, and have seen it reinforced over and over in the many decades since then.
Dee & "kids" - maybe we are destined to hit certain milestones in our lives, and accomplishing those things are what we are "supposed" to do...but I guess we can alter that by choosing differently...and that may ultimately change our lifetime now or a possible future one
Dr. Liz - Dee, some persons who study such things, feel we have between 5 and 7 life milestones.
Dr. Liz - Where we have choice, it seems, is in how easy or difficult we make things for ourselves. We can "work" an energy from the light side, the side of resonance, or from the dark side, the side of resistance.
Dr. Liz - Let's take addictions.
Cheryl & Kids - Perhaps we have a greater chance as perceiving our destined course with choices that support it when we TRUELY are connected to source and following the path we planned. Those "free-will" choice seem easy and natural when they are in alighnment with the destined (or hopeful) desitined outcome
Dee & "kids" - so I can see how both ideals can exist together...I agree it comes from the same source
Dr. Liz - Many people choose to work the energy of addiction in their life-time.
Dee & "kids" - i think you have to see the predestined part without fear of being controlled
Dr. Liz - What they are addicted to, and how, will be determined by how much in resistance or resonance they are.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, yes.
Dee & "kids" - yes
Dr. Liz - If one works the resistance basis, that one, will experience harmful addictions, for example, to drugs, alcohol, work, sex, food, or toxic people, etc.
Dr. Liz - If one works the resonance basis, that one, will experience empowering addictions, for example, to meditation, exercise, and food choices, etc.
Dr. Liz - It is the nature of human consciousness to want the same pattern to be repeated, hence, addiction energy, or even the energy of repeated ritual, is part of the human experience.
Dr. Liz - What is predetermined appears to be the energies we are going to work in any given life-time. How we work them, seems to be in great part our choice.
Cheryl & Kids - So it is a comfort in patterns
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, the prime directive of the suconscious mind is to preserve the status quo.
Dr. Liz - The second prime directive of the subconscious mind is to want change.
Dr. Liz - Makes for an interesting "human" experience since both are in opposite to each other.
Cheryl & Kids - because there is often fear in change or seeking out the unknown
Dee & "kids" - and I agree that openess and connectedness to the Oneness allows us to just follow what is right for us rather thatn to hold onto old patterns for the sake of safty in that pattern
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, yes.
Cheryl & Kids - and in my last statement notice how again the "fear" component governs our desire and ability to make change...even when we know it is best for us
Dr. Liz - Yes, Fear.
Dee & "kids" - trust in listening to our inner voices
Dr. Liz - It is quite useful to ask ourselves what we are really afraid of?
Cheryl & Kids - so I supposed it is safe to say that the more fear we have in life, the more controlled our "free-will" becomes...interesting
Cheryl & Kids - Me and Dee call that the "why" game...lol
Dee & "kids" - we are so used to controlling everything we can that even when we put our desires out - our need to control the way we get what we want often block it coming ot us
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, perhaps a word that applies here is "repressed" or "suppressed" rather than "controlled", unless there is awareness that "fear" is doing the controlling.
Cheryl & Kids - getting to the root cause of any negative issue
Dr. Liz - Another way of phrasing the prime directives of the subconscious mind, is, the human conflict between "resistance to change" and "desire for things to be different."
jane - It appears that money has a grip on most people - the "need" for money causes so much grief in the world.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, yes. Or any issue, actually. :)
Cheryl & Kids - Dr. Liz that does seem to be the two opposing factors
Cheryl & Kids - One is fear based...the other is a clear negation of living in the now
Dee & "kids" - so does the release of this fear rely on the knowingness of a higher energy that - universal god energy that orchestrates everything?
Cheryl & Kids - they both are...
Dr. Liz - I've found the best way to release fear is to breathe.
Cheryl & Kids - Dee I would say that it is...the believe that we can be part of that "higher nergy and flow" can and will produce a connected existence that should produce a beautiful life
Cheryl & Kids - Dr. Liz...I have used your breathing CD and I admit--BREATHING IS KEY!!!!!
Dee & "kids" - breathing helps us to connect to this source, the energy that connects us all...and allows us to feel safer, calmer, clearer
Cheryl & Kids - I healed myself 12 years ago--prior to any knowledge of alternative therapies and I was healed within a few weeks...and all I did was BREATH with COLOR!
Dee & "kids" - and being clearer allows us access to solutins to our issues
Dr. Liz - Dee, Cheryl, yes.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, that's beautiful, that you healed yourself within a few weeks with breath and color. :)
Cheryl & Kids - AND I DIDN"T EVEN KNOW AT THAT TIME THAT IS WAS A THERAPY FOR HEALING!! So it was almost a blind test--I did it (intuitively I suppose) and withina short amount of tie was fully recovered from my illness
Dr. Liz - We breathe with passion when we co-create. We breathe in surrender when we receive. The link is the full, deep, breath, and the presence that comes with it.
Cheryl & Kids - Dr. Liz...I will admit the 100 breaths is a challenge, but a beautiful therapy...lol
Dee & "kids" - so do we feel that life is equal parts pre-destined events, with choices as to how to get to/thru them..either with the flow or against it
Dr. Liz - Or more correctly, the manifest energy of the sacred, that exists in the breath, that is in us, and that we exist in.
Cheryl & Kids - I always call upon the energy of the dolphins when I need extra breathing energy
Dr. Liz - Dee, nope, not equal parts. The e
Dr. Liz - The events occur, and then the after-flow of the events occurs. The after-flow will take however long it takes.
Cheryl & Kids - maybe not equal parts, but "balanced" parts

Dr. Liz - All, I've found a teleconferencing service that would allow us all to dial in and talk to one another. It would be free. Could you see yourselves phoning in to a TeleClass? In other words, not the "texting" into the Chatroom, like we do now.
jane - for all of your requests and the basket of bessings. For Jake and Maddie - brother and sister - who were poisoned by drug dealers - for them to heal totally.

Dr. Liz - Dee, I've found one that works through the regular phone lines. We wouldn't "see" anything, but we could "hear" each other.

jane - Dr. Liz - I have used teleconferencing before - we - the people out here - are charged for the minutes in the phone call - it can get very expensive if you do not have unlimited long distance service.
Dee & "kids" - that sounds great
Dr. Liz - Jane, it is very inexpensive with a calling card, or if you buy Skype and connect via your computer.
jane - I do not know how this one is set up at all - I always assumed that the people initiating the call made money somehow.
Dr. Liz - With a Walgreens calling card, it can be as low as .02 a minute. That's two cents a minute.

Dr. Liz - Jane, when you pay a registration fee, the people holding the conference make money. When you don't, no one makes money.
Dr. Liz - I have Comcast's unlimited calling plan, so for me, it won't involve an extra charge to "host" because it's already included in my monthly bill.

jane - For me personally, I cannot hear as well on a phone call, which is why I like chat rooms. You can see what people are writing if you cannot hear them well. just my 2 cents worth.
Dr. Liz - The person hosting the call, in our example that would be me, pays money under certain conditions, whether or not the people joining in on the call are paying.
Dr. Liz - In my rendering, I would simply give you all the number and the code, and you would connect for free.

Dr. Liz - I was on one last night, where the sound was poor, so Jane, I understand your point of view.
