kikfrd - I think Kiki gave me her sign... I was sitting in the living room preparing for a little nap and she was in the hallway from the kitchen to the bathroom and she had a howl-type meow followed by regular ones... She was pacing, as much as could be expected and she wobbled a bit.
kikfrd - I thought at thatt point, please give me one more night and she layed down for a little bit, came back, touched the food with her tongue, touched the water a little bit and strongly went back to bed.

Dr. Liz - My son-in-law died suddenly in May 5th, followed by the parents of 4 very close friends, and then two very important spiritual teachers for me ...

Dr. Liz - I have learned a great deal of ways to "be" around death and dying.
Dr. Liz - I believe much of this applies to all beings, whatever their body costumes.
Dr. Liz - RT, yes.

Lori - death is difficult, yet it is also a gift
Dr. Liz - One of the first things I"ve learned is, the need to detach from the "story" around the dying and the death ...
Jeanne - yes, i believe it is a gift also.
Dr. Liz - Another thing I've learned, having seen so much of it in such a short period of time, is that at some point, for each person, their dying represents a Grace.
Rosie Tara - I understand exactely what you mean, Liz
Jeanne - what do you mean detach from the story
GirlyGirls - Always, Liz, absolutely!
Dr. Liz - I have also found words for something I feel we all experience.
Dr. Liz - Jeanne, I'll explain that in a moment.
Lori - if you detach from the story, then haven't you moved on to the next level of grief...you have gotten past denial
Dr. Liz - Who here has noticed a particular, powerful, greatly improved clarity of understanding about who the being was to you, in your life, while they were in form ... that you are seeing SO much more clearly, now that they are "gone"?
Rosie Tara - Is "Story" equal to "Memories"?
GirlyGirls - Certainly.
Lori - yes, I can see what their purpose is in my life, how they have made me grow and mature
Lauren - A soul's passing offers us the opportunity to see/feel how we reflect their story...what 'grace' you carry. Yes Liz, I totally agree!
kikfrd - I have with my father who passed of Alzhemers. I find it amazing the simalarity of my experience now with Kiki

GirlyGirls - Often, I think of "the story" around the death can be encasing oneself in aspects of the story , and not seeing another story that is greater, Sacramental in a way, of how it all plays out. Finding it hard to explain this well.

kikfrd - I still don't understand grace but I hope I'm doing it
Dr. Liz - I have come to believe, that the best way to meet the loss of a loved one, is by knowing that when we truly love, it is never lost. The way we know this for sure, is the heightened awareness, after the death, of the bond that is truly felt ... have you noticed that the one who has died, becomes more a part of us, than was possible in life?
Dr. Liz - GG, yes.

Dr. Liz - It is the holding of this knowing, that allows us to flow Grace.
Lori - we take on their genuine good qualities, they blessed us with being a part of
Jeanne - yes, i can see that...
GirlyGirls - I have always interpreted that as their ability to be even more present in my life in a new way, the lifting of the veil so to speak.
Dr. Liz - GG, your words are always so beautiful, so brilliant. I know that when they flow, they Grace all of us here.
Lauren - I have better communication with my Dad now than we ever did when he was alive...and it's so sweet and loving

Dr. Liz - GG, the new way, very often, is by embracing us, and even infilling us, with their energy.
Rosie Tara - I feel my father, brother and mother who died always around me...sometimes more sometimes less

Dr. Liz - Lauren, this is exactly the energy of which I speak.

Lori - my brother was here "bugging" me and letting me know he was around earlier

Dr. Liz - I volunteer to you, that this is part of the Grace of dying.

Jeanne - I can feel my Dad, Uncle and an Aunt always close by
Dr. Liz - Our increased awareness of the beings who have died; our increased ability to feel them in a different and beauitful way, free of some of the energetics of "personality" and the density of "physical body".
Lori - I don't always know who is gracing me with their presense...unless I have had lots of thoughts about them recently
jane - I talk out loud to my deceased family and animals and feel the*ir presence.

Dr. Liz - What I mean by "story" is, when we drop any judgement around the story ... the way the one has died or is dying ... and do our best to bring ourselves fully to the moment ...
kikfrd - I think this is why I'm having a problem now with the waiting for Kiki to enter that place. I just feel so strongly that it is so much better than what she is going through now. I fear pulling the plug on her out too soon.
GirlyGirls - I still, often, say hello to Pinky when I come in the door, when I say hello to Fannie, Fergus and Gray
Dr. Liz - then by dropping any judgement of the story, we FIND the Grace in the experience.
Dee & "kids" - cease to live in the drama, and Be in what IS
Dr. Liz - I'll give some details on what happened, in my awareness, to bring me to this place ...
Lauren - a sigh of knowing kikfrd -- <<kikfrd>>
GirlyGirls - I was going to use the word "drama" when I was talking about attachment to the story which obscures the true journey. . but thought it might seem harsh. I.e. I agree about the judgement note.
Jeanne - My Dad had a song he played on the guitar 'appear' on a tv show the night I came home from his funeral when I was really missing him. i know he had that song playing for me to tell me he was near.
Dr. Liz - First, my son-in-law, who died suddenly at home in the middle of the night with the kids home; no known health problems; uninsured; autopsy revealed a previously undiagnosed heart condition; 32 years old.
Rosie Tara - When my Rosie died I couldn't bear the pain of loss....but when Tara came into our lives the pian was gone....I believe because Tara has brought back Rosie....
Lauren - that's powerful Liz -- I hold that open to attain
Dr. Liz - Jeanne, yes, this is one way that contact unfolds!
Dr. Liz - Second, the father of a dear friend ... who died with a great deal of spiritual attention around his death, after a year or more of decline.
Rosie Tara - So sad !!
Lori - I think those types of death are hardest to deal with...no warning...just taken from us
Lauren - I think the Celestine Prophecy uses "drama" -- it the right word
Dr. Liz - Third, the mother of a dear friend, who died after three months in a coma caused by a surgical error in a routine operation.
Rosie Tara - Oh NO !
Lori - Holy buckets...
Dee & "kids" - Oh....no....
Dr. Liz - Fourth, the father of a dear friend who had been declining for two years, but who experienced a very sudden body accident that left him screaming in pain ... then, totally drugged, a vegetable and almost comatose. He died right after I talked my friend through the prayer of soul release.
Dr. Liz - Fifth. the mother of a dear friend died 7 days after a surgical error.
Dr. Liz - Sixth, my spiritual director died, after several years of increasingly more debilitating strokes.
Dr. Liz - And lastly, another spiritual teacher died by accident.
Dr. Liz - So .. 7 deaths ... each with a different story ...
Dr. Liz - Each with its own energy ...
Lori - wow, lots of pain and loss
Dr. Liz - As you read these "stories", invite yourself to find the energy ABOVE the stories ...
Dr. Liz - Do this now.
Rosie Tara - WHY...WHY do things happen like this ? What is the message of the UNIVERSE ?
Dr. Liz - In other words, drop any emotion of "this death was a good death" or "this death is a bad death" ... or "this death is a particularly sad death" ...
Dr. Liz - Please understand, I'm not saying to NOT feel those things ...
Lori - it immediately takes me to a higher place of love and calm
Lauren - they HAVE to be there to offer you a light
Dr. Liz - I'm just inviting you all to experiene what I experienced, that brought me to a centered place of Grace and Compassion in ALL death.
jane - Dr. Liz - TWO mother's of dear friends diedfm surgical errors??
Dr. Liz - Lori, precisely. OH, I am SO VERY HAPPY you felt this!
Dr. Liz - Jane, yes.
Jeanne - Maybe they couldn't teach us anything anylonger until they passed over
jane - It appears that so many of our lessons are learned AFTER a loved one leaves us - which is part of their purpose, I think.
Dr. Liz - There is a beauty, a light, that is very palpable, when we reach that place. Lori, do you feel it? Anyone?
Dee & "kids" - it would seem that to be any other way about it...without Grace anad acceptance, would make it impossible to bear...but if you consider acceptance of a plan that is beyond what we can comprehend as humans...I guess
Dee & "kids" - you arrive at Graceful intervention and you can acept it
Dr. Liz - Jane, yes. There is a great master who said, the way to really love something is to realize it as lost.
Rosie Tara - i experience the feel of trusting that it will be alright for reasons we can't understand at bthe moment...does that make sense?y
Dr. Liz - It's taken me a while to understand that.
kikfrd - I feel a warmth
Lauren - I can't imagine that being drawn down in the vortex of emotion of these deaths could help. The only answer would have to be find the light
GirlyGirls - Liz, I started that learning at a young age. It was my experience when my best friend died suddenly when I was 19. . .it is what jettisoned me on my spiritual path.
Dr. Liz - Kikfrd, yes.
Dee & "kids" - yes RT
Dr. Liz - For me, I cycle through different learnings, at different levels, and have, my entire life.
joann - Dr. Liz my mother suffers from a surgical error that happened 2 years ago and now I need to care for her 24/7 and know that her time is near but cannot accept that
Dr. Liz - Lauren, yes.
Lori - Yes, the last two funerals I was at, I felt more joy at celebrating their life than sadness because they are gone from this realm
Dr. Liz - So ... who feels to share, what she has done, how she has "been" in the matter of the dying and death of a beloved, that has worked particularly well?
Dr. Liz - Lori, yes. This again is precisely what I mean.
Dr. Liz - Interestingly, some cultures celebrate death. There is great rejoicing.
Lori - but I don't feel they are really lost...just gone ahead of us
Dee & "kids" - One thing htat has changd my perspective on death...is something that Drt Liz helped me attain.....
Dr. Liz - My culture that I originally was raised in, did not. Death was considered something to be dreadfully feared and avoided, and dramatically mourned.
Lori - when my brother Brad died at 30, I had already known his life was shortened...health issues.
Dr. Liz - Lori, I see them as orbs after they've died, so they're not even really "going ahead" ...
Dr. Liz - Dee, please share.
Lori - and I knew within my heart and soul he was in a much better place..no longer suffering, enjoying the perfect body (for him age 4)
Dee & "kids" - After my cat ZOe passed, after some time I had Dr Liz contact her...and I asked Dr Liz to convey my gratitude towards Zoe for the sacrifice she made in her life here for me...her health issues (there were quuite a few) got my on my spiritual path/....
Jeanne - When I was with my Dad i truely felt i was given a gift to be with him up until his last breath. I was given Spiritual Strength to get through those last 3 weeks with him.
GirlyGirls - Sheila became my teacher, one of my guides, that brought me to simply being here with all of you. There were many deaths in my life of people close to me after that. Really just slowed down a few years ago. FOrtunately and unfortunately, because through the passing of all of them, I receive Grace, Guidance and Wisdom and Strength. . .well, the Gifts of the Spirit I guess

Dee & "kids" - and her reply was...Zoe corrected me...told me the word "sacrifice" was wrong...that it was all part of a divine contract that we made before we "met up" here in this life...
Rosie Tara - Same here, Liz ! I spend "days" on the graveyard in Germany.....taking care of family graves....culture ?
Dr. Liz - RT, cultural conditioning, perhaps.
Dr. Liz - Dee, yes ... taking the spiritual view.
Dee & "kids" - and that changed things for me...it opened my eyes to the "bigger picture" and that helped me to gain a health perspective on life/illness/death
GirlyGirls - RT, that is "tending" to the energy of their life on earth. . .nothing wrong with beautifying and acknowledging that they are loved and have loved -- even for others to see the testimony!
Lori - I have to leave...in just a few minutes...

GirlyGirls - It is part of our being human to wish to honor loving memories and reactivate and renew the sense. Sometimes that is how we do it.
kikfrd - I have to go drink some water with Kiki right now but right now I find myself questioning the energy I am giving when I feel Kiki on earth = bad / Kiki passed on = good. I'm not ignoring the fact that she too led me to the spiritual path but...

Lori - yes, my sister-in-law the was married to my brother mourned for years...and it was so depressing, I finally had to tell her I was not in that space and could no longer help her with her grief
Lauren - I'm in a scism of feeling on this. I KNOW their is a higher spiritual connection, AND my heart often still longs for my baby (Sneeze) -- I still have the memory of him dying in my arms.
Dr. Liz - Kikfrd, drop both the bad and the good. Be with what IS ... Kiki in her transition.
GirlyGirls - As long as one does not have guilt that they do not visit graves or tend them. Respect the process for each individual, you know?
Lori - I had to tell her I don't see him in a suffering place and you shouldn't suffer either
Dr. Liz - Watch the process of transition, holding both in form and out of form and the space in between, as sacred.
jane - Before I understood about the soul's transformation from one energy form to another form, I didn't understand death at all - it just hurt so bad - deep, deep down inside. Now - it still hurts deep down inide at first, then I start thinking in a more spiritual manner. It took a long time to realize all of this. I was an atheist most of my life and really believed that when you die - you are DEAD! That's it - THE BIG SLEEP - it's all over. Imagine that!
Lauren - I can be so cerebral, but the heart still aches.
GirlyGirls - Jane! Yes imagine that! That is HARDER for me to imagine! :-)

Rosie Tara - Family graves are very important in our culture.....and part of family life
Lori - I still miss Brad...but know he is with me always, and just a thought away...always

GirlyGirls - Liz, I DO have a little issue with what my dear Jesuit friend calls "Catholic Euthanasia". . .people are put onto hospice, because, I think, a private pay bed brings in more money than a medicare bed, and they are fine, maybe in a different reactive space, but not ill, and two days later they have trouble breathing, become comatose and die. . ..and for some reason, this person who was not in pain, uncomfortable, etc, just simply lingering longer than was "convenient" is put on morphine. . .you know of what I speak I think
GirlyGirls - That's a bit of a drama judgement that I have, it ticks me off, denies them, on some level, of a more natural process.

Dr. Liz - Lauren, orbs in photographs appear for several reasons: one can be water spots; another can be dust spots; but orbs that are truly orbs, are VERY distinguishable. Once you've seen all three types, you'll always be able to tell them apart.

Dee & "kids" - Dr Liz- about a month ago I had a similar experience...my sister in law and her family were in so much torment over watching hteir mother suffer before dying...she called me to do some reiki- or what ever I could do to help...I called in Grace to help with the situation,, bring about peace...I got a phone call 20 minutes later saying she passed with peace..It was very powerful
Dr. Liz - GG, an orb is a cluster of consciousness that frequently once was in a physical body.

Dr. Liz - When we do the Celebrating Life "Intensives", the energy of the Master Teacher, called by many, Jesus Christ, always appears.
Dr. Liz - He appears as a particularly brilliant, consistently recognizable, large, Orb.
Dr. Liz - Usually He positions himself above the Altar.

GirlyGirls - Joanne, morphine suppresses respiration. It can be administered in proper doses to ease what is called the feeling of oxygen starvation, make someone more comfortable. When it is not indicated for such a need, or is given in the doses usually given by hospice, it stops the breath

GirlyGirls - I had a friend who refused it, after being on it for a while while dying of lung ca. He told me he would rather go out with pain than with that strange feeling that had no place in his life.

Dr. Liz - There are MANY Orbs of Healing that show up when we do the Chat'N'Prays ... one of the reasons is, we've been doing them in approximately the same energetic "place" (Thursday nights) for over ten years.
Dr. Liz - Another reason is, quite simply, befause we pray and call them.
Dr. Liz - So the doing of the Chat'N'Prays, has become a ritual of its own.
jane - Grady has calmed down a lot now from being rowdy at first. I think he does feel the calming energy of this group . He just started biting at me ( I don't know if he is playig or what) after he was almost killed by my dogs 2 weeks ago when I let them out in my back yard and did not know Grady was there. It was so horrible - I could not get there fast enough - I finally got him away from the dogs and ran into the house with little Grady in my arms, with his mouth clamped down on my hand. Speaking of death, he laid in my arms and I knew that he was going to die - his mouth was gray, he could hardly catch his breath, and his eyes were starting to roll back - I remember thinking - this is what the life force ebbing out of a body looks like - it scared me so much - I was crying and crying and just keptholding him so close - got some BAch Rescue Remedy on him. But he hung on and was fine after many hours.
GirlyGirls - IF I miss the chat, it's almost like missing Mass on Sunday. . .my energy gets cleared here, it helps me.
