Dr. Liz - I got an Israeli fipple flute about 2 months ago and started to teach myself how to play it. :)
Dr. Liz - I'm loving it.
GirlyGirls - Oh, yes, that I know! I like them mostly in ensembles. Years of teaching in the schools. . .schools demanding 3rd grade curriculum be primarily recorders! Ridiculous! Not everyone's instruement! Anyway, aside. . .heard too many soprano recorders of cheap quality played badly. . . :-)

GirlyGirls - I have a couple of new students, one 87, one 80 something. The 80 something woman, Suzanne, got tears in her eyes at her 2nd lesson today and said, you don't know what this has done for me, playing every day. She studied when younger, says she was never very good, but she has a beautiful musicality when she plays, and her legato is like silk.
Dr. Liz - GG, how beautiful, to be making such a difference in someone's life. :)

Dr. Liz - "Return" on AOL causes trouble, it makes the screen refresh itself. But on Internet Explorer and some of the others, Return works great.

GirlyGirls - Liz, this student, Suzanne S., had been very active, and has a debilitating leg and hip pain that no practicioner has been able to help her with (excuse dangling prep). Need to send her lots of good energy from the AWPT. Do you think everyone else is practicing accessing the energy from off line? LOL!

RosieTara - Her spirit is said to be wonderful but her back legs are paralysed now and she needs to be helped all the time

Dr. Liz - RT, she senses as having severely depleted kidney energy. That feels to be contributed to the paralysis.
RosieTara - I haven't seen her...very hard to get into "my friends" house at this stage...

RosieTara - Oh, that is something I never thought about...is there any recovery possible ?
Dr. Liz - RT, prayers can be sent from anywhere. You can draw a little picture, and in your mind and heart, make it Fee ... and connect with her that way. She'll feel it.
Dr. Liz - RT, if we can't get to see Fee physically, what we have available, is energy work, prayer work.
Garfila - I've been trying to connect with this pup "Fiona" in my mind but I'm having a lot of trouble focusing lately
RosieTara - I do all the time ....they lost meanwhile another rottie, Lexie, 10 years old, she was paralysed within on week...
Dr. Liz - Garfila, draw a picture. Put Fiona's name below it. In your heart-mind, make it Fiona.

Garfila - She at the hospital in isolation/ICU & I can't even touch her :(
Dr. Liz - It's not uncommon for paralysis to happen when the kidney energy is very depleted.

RosieTara - I took Tara two weeks ago to our beautiful river and Fee came too. Tara sensed that Fee is sick. She was unbelievable caring and gentle with Fee....

Dr. Liz - Garfila, yes. Archetypes. My brother and his wife are doing the study work for Carolyn Myss's Sacred Contracts, the book, CD set, etc. We had a conversation on it, that became the catalyst for me to read the book again.

Dr. Liz - I charted myself again ... and found that certain archetypes have much more prominence in my pattern now than last time I did it ... which is what happens ... the charting can shift ...

Garfila - What does "recharting" your self mean?
RosieTara - Hi Marge !!!!
Garfila - You are recharting the chart you were born with?
Dr. Liz - Garfila, Myss has a process in her book where one identifies the primary archetype one feels one is working in one's contract, and a way of creating a chart, for which one has prominence where. It's a very complicated process.
Garfila - I see
Dr. Liz - Garfila, not precisely, not an astrological chart, this is a different concept.
RosieTara - Hm, I have problems to follow...Liz, could you explain that a bit more, please?
Dr. Liz - Well, what I felt to talk about tonight, doesn't really require an understanding of Myss' work ... it just requires an understanding that we all have energies that influence us, that we are born with, and that cause patterns to repeat in our lives. Anyone notice that?
Dr. Liz - That patterns repeat?
Marge - Yup!
Dr. Liz - By this I mean, circumstances or choices or behaviors that feel like we've been through them before ...
RosieTara - Yes
Dr. Liz - There are a number of such patterns available to us as humans.
Dr. Liz - One that's gotten my attention a lot is the one called "Rescuer".
Marge - Like we KNOW we've been through them before! lol
Dr. Liz - Marge, YES!
Dr. Liz - Most people who discuss archetypes or patterns say they have a light side and a dark (or shadow) side.
Dr. Liz - So just to share from my own life, the light side of the Rescuer archetype for me, is my work with animals and people ... working as a animal communicator, energy therapist, spiritual mentor, and intuitive counselor.
Dr. Liz - The dark side of the Rescuer in my life, has as its greatest example, my co-dependent relaitonship with my daughter, whom I now realize, I have Enabled in my attempts to Rescue her.
Dr. Liz - What's interesting about the Rescuer archetype, is that it is very closely intertwined and in fact inextricably entwined with the archetypes of Victim and Persecutor.
Dr. Liz - So where there is a Rescue, there is also always, a Victim and a Persecutor.
Dr. Liz - The roles may happen only in one's mind ... but the three always go together.
Garfila - Interesting-Looking at both sides
RosieTara - So true, Liz
Dr. Liz - What I wanted to share tonight, is something that I figured out over the weekend, that I am very excited about.
Marge - yes, very interesting!
Dr. Liz - And that is ... this part is funny ... I took a look at Carolyn Myss' book, and how long and complicated it is, and I went "screeeeeccchhh" in my head .. it's too much ... I had a spiritual hissy fit and said, "There has to be a simpler way!"

Dr. Liz - So I asked Guidance to gently show me the energies of the light side and the shadow side of the archtype of Rescuer, and also, how the energy STARTS in me so that I can recognize it and make a CONSCIOUS choice instead of being controlld by the archetypal pattern ... and you know what? GUIDANCE WILL DO EXACTLY THAT IF YOU ASK!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT????!!!!

Dr. Liz - It also showed me, gently, the conversations, the mental activity, the internal "stuff" that goes along with the arsing of that pattern.
Dr. Liz - What I learned was that in my case, frequently, I get "hooked" on feeling needed, or feeling like I need to nurture someone or something. That is frequently Rescuer energy. The way I know that for me it's Rescuer energy, is that somewhere along the way, I discount my own happiness, my own inner peace, or my own well-being.
Dr. Liz - I am very excited about this insight and felt almost busting to share it with all of you here.
Dr. Liz - Can anyone relate to this?
Marge - yes, I believe I can
RosieTara - Oh yes....I have always put my own happiness second and no I feel weird and empty sometimes
Dr. Liz - That doesn't mean that one is not to help, nurture, or be of service. It's the energy one does it in, that makes the difference. So the same act, by one person, wouldn't be a Rescue ... but by another, it might be.
RosieTara - Does that make sense ? May be not....
Dr. Liz - RT, yes, it makes sense.
Marge - makes sense to me too, RT
Garfila - Yes, I realized a couple yrs ago that the Rescuer was one of themes
RosieTara - One has to sacrify a lot of energy you actually need for your OWN happiness
Dr. Liz - What I'm most excited about, is the knowing that if we ask Guidance, guidance will SHOW us the patterns ... the light side and the shadow site ... and also, the energetics as they unfold that let us recognize the signature of the pattern ... in other words, HOW TO BECOM ECONSCIOUS ABOUT THEM, AND TO HEAL THEM!!!

Garfila - It can also be a burden. I have a strong desire to help everyone, and when the one's (animals) I do help don't make it-I get very down on my self for not doing enough

Marge - Liz, can you explain your last sentence more ... how does one become conscious about them, and to heal them ... I'm missing something there. How does one balance it?
Garfila - She only has a day or two left in the hospital until I reach my financial $ Max
Dr. Liz - Marge, by becoming aware, and making a conscious choice about behaviors, rather than having the archetype throw us into a set of behaviors.
RosieTara - Fee is with me in my thoughts all the time , but I would like to help her more than I can due to circumstances
Dr. Liz - Marge, I'll take something very personal for me, since the dark side of the Rescuer for me, seems to evidence most in close personal relationships.
Marge - so Liz, can you give a further example about how you could have done it differently with your daughter? for example?
Dr. Liz - I recently met a new gentleman. We've gone out together a few times. When I got the insight about the Rescuer archetype, I realized that our very first encounter, I expressed the Rescuer archetype. It was a great insight for me.
Dr. Liz - Marge, I don't think I could have done differently, what I did. I feel I can only do differently, from this moment forward.
RosieTara - What did you do differently, Liz
Dr. Liz - RT, with this new gentleman, I am finding myself VERY aware of the "pull" to "take care of him" ... give him suggestions ... etc. This is Rescuer stuff. So when that arises, I just don't do it.
RosieTara - Wow...that's the rescuing mother instinct in all of us, isn't it ?
Marge - okay, I get it ... good example Liz
Dr. Liz - What I'm doing differently with my daughter, is truly seeing what's there to be seen. I did her chart. She has some very dificult archetypes that she is working the shadow side of in a very big way. She has taken on a very heavy Sacred Contract.
Dr. Liz - RT, yes. I believe we all have parts of the Rescuer/Victim/Persecuter triad.
Dr. Liz - My personal struggle, is to understand my daughter's Contract, and yet still keep myself in a place of centered peace. I find it very dificult at times.
Marge - do some people take on more of the shadow side or more of the light side?
Dr. Liz - Marge, thanks.
Dr. Liz - Marge, yes.
Garfila - One of the most important parts of spirituality is to "know you self"
Dr. Liz - It seems that way.
Dr. Liz - Garfila, I haven't always wanted to know myself. I was afraid of what I'd see. :)
Garfila - And it's probably one of the most difficult, complex things we may ever attemp!
Garfila - I understand!'
RosieTara - So true Garfila
joann - Dr Liz I can relate to that
Dr. Liz - What I have come to believe now, is, that my journey here, is to discover and express my true nature, whatever that is or may be.
Marge - by 'knowing' one self, can one change the Chart that one has taken on? ... before coming into this lifetime?
RosieTara - I wonder if it is possible at all ...
Marge - or I should have said the Contract that one has taken on
Dr. Liz - Marge, we can be more proactive in shaping our destinies towards the LIght by knowing our Chart ... and in that way, change our experience. We all have a destiny, a path ...however, we also all have the power to help shape that destiny, and whether it unfolds primarily in the Light, or primarily in the Shadow side of our Sacred Archetypal Contracts.
RosieTara - I am often surprised how differently different people see/ perceive me
RosieTara - What is the true me?
Dr. Liz - RT, the true you, would be your spiritual experience of the moment ... what you are feeling inside.
Garfila - I agree RT
RosieTara - Thanks Liz....I like to be my best friend
Dr. Liz - It is our internal experience ... which is another way of saying our internal spirituality ... that defines who we truly are. Or aren't.
Marge - so Liz, to get to know our own Charts, we need to be 'aware' and to go 'inside' of ourselves and really discover our true selves?
Dr. Liz - So again, two people can be perceived as doing exactly the same thing externally in their behavior ... but their internal experiences, and therefore their level of spirituality, can be very different indeed.
Dr. Liz - Marge, yes, this is what I have come to believe is true.
Marge - makes a lot of sense to me Liz
RosieTara - to me ,too
Dr. Liz - And since I've been historically a bit scared to do that work ... resistant to seeing who I truly am ... I've asked Guidance to show it to me gently. Because ultimately, we want to let go of everything we feel is "good" about ourselves, and also, everything we feel is "bad' or shadow about ourselves ... because only then, when we've let it all go, can we be truly free.
Dr. Liz - And that is the insight I had that so excited me, that I wanted to share with everyone here. :)

Dr. Liz - We powerfully feel you flowing through us.
